Hello and welcome to my website about what you need to know about buying Atlanta Concert tickets.  The web makes it easy to make an informed decision about buying music concert tickets in Atlanta and sometimes the best places to get tickets.

First thing you want to do is see what shows are available on the dates you want to attend. The official site of your favorite artist is the first place to check of course.  Popular artists aare going to have a lot of hits to their site so it will be updated frequently with the latest tour info.

And there will be links to discussion forums and fan sites from the main site and the fans will definitely tell you the ins and outs of a particular show.  Or just google it and find all kinds of unofficial fan sites for details about a show.

Here’s a tip a lot of us don’t think about until the day before the show.  While visiting fan sites and learning about what to expect in the show, go to the website of the venue and look at the stadium map.

If a fan is raving about a special effect and where it is best viewed from, now you have a head’s up on where you want your ticket choice to be.  Or if fans are saying yes the show is killer but this is too something, like too loud (for the old folks), then make sure you’re tickets are not right in front of the main speakers.

And then there’s where  you park vs. where you go inside.  Just spend 10 minutes checking out the parking layout and when you get there you will know where to look for parking and the entrances.  This can really speed up your exit strategy.

Of course if you attend this venue a lot, you already know these things but if you spend a few minutes checking this info out it can make a huge difference.  I remember after a Rolling Stone’s concert one time, I must have stayed in the parking  lot for a good hour and a half until the traffic started moving.

Once you know what act you want to see, safely purchasing your tickets AND getting a good deal will be the next step.

The downside of a lot of known sites is you can have an account and be logged in with credit card info in hand ready to pounce and you never get the chance.  What could be more frustrating to continually see “Nothing Available?”  And I’m talking the first day the tickets are supposed to go on sale.

This seems to be happening more and more as the big ticket companies swoop in and buy up large blocks of tickets, especially on the very popular shows.  It’s gotten so bad there are attorney generals in some states looking into this practice.

If you’re like me this all fine and well and I still go to the main ticket purchasing places online.   I like to have a plan B if the main sites are sold out or asking way too much for the tickets.

So here’s part of my plan B:

The very easiest thing to do is check your local Craigslist and see if anyone is selling tickets.  That way you can go directly to the person and check the ticket out and buy it. Couldn’t be simpler but sometimes you don’t always have the time to do this or nothing is available.

There are very good deals on eBay, just check the person’s feedback and score.  Actually click on their feedback and read what people that have bought from this vendor before. You can get a real clue if the person is on the up and up.

Some people don’t like eBay but if you do what I said above you can find a really good deal on there sometimes.

There’s sites like Pollstar and Goldstar Events that will have more information also.  Sometimes the best place to buy tickets online are the popular sites.  Like I said above you can find the tickets sold out but at least check these brokers first.

Check the Atlanta local venues also to see if they are selling in advance at the door.  Also don't forget to look for stadium parking and seating maps.

There are also upstart ticket sales sites that are worth contacting also.  Remember to check if they are listed with the Better Business Bureau and/or have the VeriSign emblem listed on the site.
